My Love

4 years ago I married the most beautiful person I have ever met.

I am sitting here trying to think of a way to describe how much she means to me, but everything sounds so cliché.

She is too important to me to get some run of the mill “roses are red, violets are…”

I guess the best way to put it is to say that she is the reason why I love being a wedding photographer. More importantly I think she is the reason I am any good at it.

You know that saying; “It takes one to know one”?

How about we change it for a second?

Yeah? Good.

Here is my version; “It takes someone in love to know love.”

I love Stacia more than that time I stood there hugging her and eked out my first “I love you”. (yeah, I said it first. So what. She proposed, so we are even.)

Every wedding I am at I am consistently reminded of my love. It is my love for her that reminds me what I am looking for through the lens of my camera.

She is my constant inspiration and muse.

So, I sit here, like an idiot.
Completely overwhelmed with love.
And no clue how to express it.

I would marry her all over again if I thought that would prove my point.

I am going to have to resort to a cheesy line… I have been doing a lot of traveling for weddings lately. In fact I will getting on a airplane tomorrow morning, off to another corner of the earth. Which means I will not be with my bunnie on our anniversary. That is a big deal to me.

So, in honor of a movie that we stayed up late watching countless nights…

“I miss you like the sun misses the flower. Like the sun misses the flower in the depths of winter.”

I love you Stacia. I can not wait to be home to hold you in my arms.

Happy Anniversary Bunny.
